What is the contrast between hourly pay and salary?

Salary pay is an amount that you get every year at the end of your working time but do not depend on the working hours per week. Being paid hourly or as it is also famously known as being paid at an hourly rate means that you earn it in accordance with the hours worked. Compensated workers tend to get regular paychecks and are even eligible to take advantage of bonus programs, such as health care insurance or paid vacation. On the contrary, hourly employees can have less demanding schedules yet are most often not compensated during their time off. Whether to be paid on salary or per hour would depend on the stability of the job, the income requirement and the preference of the individual. Read more about salary vs hourly
